Finding a Way

Kia ora, I'm Ninu (she/her). I'm a Mexican artist living in Aotearoa New Zealand, the place I call home. Alongside my creative projects, I write a Simple Living Journal where I share the story of how and why I’m simplifying my life.

Collage is my primary medium, and I’m also a participatory art experience designer. My projects challenge our “autopilot” ways of thinking and acting while exploring how we can build worlds that truly work for us. I follow a “dig, think, try, and test” approach, guided by two core principles: 1) there are no clear-cut answers, and 2) the way is never fixed. I like to think of us as Wayfinders—people navigating through the mess, experimenting, and slowly figuring things out.

As a side hustle, I also run a picture-framing workshop from my home studio at Frame Nook.

About once a month I send out an art hug to my network of Wayfinders through my newsletter. If you'd like to receive an art hug too, feel free to join my email list.

Nau mai, haere mai!
